Beginners Level 1
Completion of our 4-week Introduction to Pole Dance course is essential before joining our beginner level.
Building on from what you’ve learned in ‘Intro to Pole’, you will continue to learn the basis for more advanced skills and moves up the pole as well as a range of tricks, spins & transitions around the pole. Towards the end of class, we will choreograph some fun combos for you, this will teach you how to gracefully transition on and off the pole.
At a minimum of 1 class per week, we advise you to take 6-8 weeks to progress through this level & to ensure you have covered everything before moving onto Intermediate 1 level.
Intermediate
Level 2
This class is the next level up from Beginners. We advise you have at least 8-10 weeks behind you at this stage, are confident with climbing the pole and basic invert.
We work on climbs, inverts and spins. You will take your inverting skills to the next level by focusing on perfecting movements with correct technique AND POINTED TOES! You will continue to work on more advanced tricks, spins & transitions which we will combine into combos towards the end of the class to increase your stamina, strength & sass.
At a minimum of 1 class per week, we advise you take 6-8 weeks to progress through this level & to ensure you have covered everything before moving onto Intermediate 2 level.
Level 3
For Intermediate 2 you must be confident in moves such as inverts, climbs, leg locks & sits.
You will continue to advance in level of spins & transitions & you will start to combine inverted tricks. We will continue to put together fun combos and flow towards the end of class to increase your stamina, strength & sass.
At a minimum of 1 class per week, we advise you take 8 – 16 weeks to progress through this level & to ensure you have covered everything before moving onto Advance level.
Advanced
Level 4
To partake in Advance level class it is advised you are confident with performing moves such as inside and outside leg hangs on both sides, cross knee or ankle release, hip-hold, butterfly, reverse grab spin, 1 handed spins.
You will continue to work on linking advance level combos as well as learning some new grips & ticks
Progression at this stage, we refer to the old saying ‘how long is a piece of string.’
Stick at it as long as you need. We have LOTS to cover. & work on.
Level 5
To attend Advance 2 you must have completed all levels up to and including advance level 1 & be confident in moves such as closed and bridged leg hangs & drop back, handstands into & off the pole, combining leg switches.
You will continue to work on perfecting moves learned so far, you will learn some new high level pole tricks such as shoulder mount, handsprings. We will finish the class with a fun flow & combo to keep up your stamina.
As with any course, you can spend as long as you like at this level, everyone progresses at different speeds when you hit the higher levels and we have sooooo many moves to cover at advance level before progressing to elite.
Elite Level
At elite level it is essential that you are confident with performing tricks such as aerial inverts, leg hangs, butterfly, shoulder-mount, handsprings, brass monkey, superman, star & caterpillar climb.
We will progress with new techniques, breaking bad habits, advanced grips, tricks, combinations & choreography.
The E in elite stands for endless possibilities & endless time.
Open Pole
Open pole session is an opportunity for you to use our space & equipment to practice the moves you have learned & are currently working on.
An Instructor is on hand to spot & support only, not teach new moves. Students are not permitted to teach other tricks during this lesson: The instructor will guide you if necessary!
Suitable for all levels except complete beginners (Intro to Pole).
Flexibility
In this class we will work on active and passive stretches to build flexibility through a complete range of movement, we will focus on the adductors, abductors, calves and hamstrings for middle splits as well as building the strength & flexibility required for back bends & bridges.
All levels are welcome as we offer modifications for individual levels of flexibility.
Choreography
During our Pole Choreography Course you will learn a comprehensive, progressive and impressive pole dance routine! Each week will build upon the last as your strength, stamina and flexibility increase.
Basic spins and transitions previously learned will be combined with floor work which will flow together to create catchy choreography within each and every class
This course runs periodically and your space in this course is secure for the entire six weeks.
*We highly recommend that you attend this course periodically.
Suitable only for Intermediate 1 level & above.
